Missing You

When your heart is full of memories
There's no stopping the tears
Old photographs and favorite music
Still remind me through the years

I feel your touch in simple things
Like eating recipes you used to make
And though you're gone and it still stings
Your love still guides the way

The nights can feel so endless
When the past comes into view
But every tear reminds me
Of the love I shared with you

And with every step I'm taking
Toward every dream I pursue
You are forever in my heartbeat
Because I'll always be missing you

Some never got the chance to hold
The child they wished was near
Running outside in the sunlight
Instead of missing here

But somewhere past tomorrow
When life is in the rearview
The loved ones you had to let go
Will be waiting there for you

The nights can feel so endless
When the past comes into view
But every tear reminds me
Of the love I shared with you

And with every step I'm taking
Toward every dream I pursue
You are forever in my heartbeat
Because I'll always be missing you

And someday it may be you
Or someday it may be me
One of us will walk ahead
Where the other cannot be

But love will keep on living
In the hearts we grew together
And we'll always keep missing
Each other until the end of forever

The nights can feel so endless
When the past comes into view
But every tear reminds me
Of the love I shared with you

And with every step I'm taking
Toward every dream I pursue
You are forever in my heartbeat
Because I'll always be missing you

Every life you touched on earth
Will always carry part of you
